My goal is "to wake the soul by tender strokes of art". (Alexander Pope)....I love to paint a theme and carry it through with form, color, and line, expressing an emotion to the viewer of activity and motion. I then dedicate myself to becoming absorbed in the endeavor of my characters. They are as dedicated to what they are doing as I am to painting them. I know when a painting is complete because it sings to me!
